If you’re trying to live within a tight budget, health and beauty products are one area where it’s really easy to get off track.
There is a reason that health and beauty is a multi-billion dollar industry. It seems like every day there’s a new fad to try or some new product that’s supposed to do miracles. But you don’t have to take out a 2nd mortgage or sell a kidney to pay for your makeup and other products. I believe in taking care of my skin and I like to look pretty but I don’t want to spend a small fortune on products.
Here are 10 awesome health and beauty products for you to try that are all under $10!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment
Under-eye circles and fine lines be gone! This little miracle in a bottle is going to become your new best friend. Also comes in a brightener shade for an extra luminous look.
e.l.f. HD Powders
This is a setting powder designed specifically for your eyes and works great! It really helps prevent creasing and it also brightens up the eye area just a bit. If you usually just use an all-over setting powder, give this one a try and see the difference for yourself.
Milani Baked Bronze
Around January, I start to feel really washed out and feel the need for a little sun-kissed color. All it takes is a little of this bronzer to make you look like you’ve just come from the beach in some tropical paradise!
NYX Professional Makeup Butter Gloss
I have been obsessed with lip gloss since I was a little girl. I’ve come a long way from those Lip Smacker days. If you prefer a gloss that is creamy, instead of sticky, try Butter Gloss by NYX. And it’s around $5 a tube so you can try them all!!
Physicians Formula Butter Muru Blush
Physicians Formula makes great products. This blush is infused with Murumuru butter to give you an amazing glow that just makes your skin looks awesome. It’s under $10 which is fantastic for a product like this.
Coty Loose Face Powder
Coty Airspun loose power 4 EVA. It’s just the bomb.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub
I have used St. Ives Apricot Scrub since I was in high school. So, only for a few years….hahahaha. Seriously, though. This stuff is just amazing now as it was back when I was rocking the big bangs. My skin looks and feels great after I use this. The all natural exfoliants help keep my skin free of impurities and the apricot keeps it smooth and glowing.
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation
I have had bad luck in the past with cheap foundation so I was a little hesitant to try this even though it came highly recommended. Well, consider me converted. This foundation is awesome! A little goes a long way, especially if you’re applying with a foundation brush. I use a primer underneath it and by the end of the day, it still looks great.
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer
Ditto for the concealer. I don’t go overboard with the concealer like some of the beauty bloggers do, but instead just use a touch under my eyes, in the corners and on my eyelids as a primer. Works great!
Maybelline Volum’ Express Mascara
I may stray from my Maybelline mascara every once in a while but I always come back to it. For me, there just isn’t any comparison with any other products. And the price is definitely right!
NYX Professional Makeup Lid Lingerie
Not only are the colors in this eyeshadow pack gorgeous, the name is fantastic too! I’ve liked e.l.f. for a long time and NYX is rapidly making its way up my list of favorite affordable beauty producst. I’m so happy that Target is starting to carry this line.
NYX Professional Makeup Vinyl Liquid Liner Eyeliner
I was always an eyeliner pencil girl. On a whim one day I grabbed a tube of liquid eyeliner and it’s what I’ve used ever since. This is another good product from NYX. It doesn’t smudge or smear and holds up all day.
Real Techniques Eye Shade and Blend Brush Set
Good brushes really do make a difference. It took me a long time to figure that out! This shade and blend brush set is a great value for the price. They’re soft and blend really well, which is exactly what you want them to do.
Simple Replenishing Rich Facial Moisturizer
If you have dry sensitive skin, you have to try this moisturizer. It’s free of fragrance, formaldehyde, sulfates, phthalates, dyes, parabens and aluminum. There’s only good stuff in there to hydrate your skin all day.
Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Mud Mask
I love using masks. It can make any day feel like a spa day. Bonus points if you answer the door for the pizza delivery person while you have one on! The look on their face is priceless! Formula 10.0.6 has several different masks but I like the skin-clarifying mud masks. It helps unclog your pores and leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh.
e.l.f. Powder Brush
A good powder brush is hard to find. Finding a great powder brush that’s only 4 dollars is like finding a fairy princess riding around on a purple unicorn. This brush from e.l.f. is super soft and can be used with either wet or dry products.
I love finding great stuff that is going to save me money. These passed all my tests and the fact that they’re all affordable beauty products is the icing on the cake!
I’ll continue to update this list as I new things to add so you can use it a reference list when you’re looking for new things to try.
