DIY American Flag Backdrop

Having a great backdrop can really set the tone for your photos. This super cute American flag backdrop from Laughing Latte is easy to make. If you have scrap fabric laying around, this is a great way to use it up. If you don’t have a fabric stash, pick up a few different patterns in red and white. Something like this cute red and white fabric with stars:

Here’s another cute idea from Brit + Co for a DIY American flag backdrop. If you can cut fabric into strips and tie a knot, then you can make this! How cute would this white tassel trim look with this? Too cute, that’s how much. Just way too cute.

American Flag Wooden Floor Backdrops
If DIY isn’t your thing, you can buy a ready-to-go backdrop. This red, white and blue backdrop from Amazon features a “wooden” floor with a blue background. You could make the DIY frame. Or you could purchase a stand kit that includes the clamps, frame, and sandbags to keep it in place.
USA Flag Fireworks Photography Backdrop
Here’s a cool backdrop from Etsy. This one features the American flag with an overlay of fireworks. Again, you can DIY a frame or purchase the kit that has everything you need. The advantage of buying a backdrop is that it’s ready to go whenever you need. Hang it and start cheesing it up for the camera!
Flag Balloon Dart Game

Here’s a fun idea for both a backdrop and a game! Insert red, white, and blue balloons into a large piece of pegboard (available at most big box hardware stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot). Take some photos and then hand out the darts! Blow up more balloons if you’re taking more pictures.

Twinkle Stars Paper Garlands
If you’re setting up your 4th of July photo booth indoors or in an enclosed space with a ceiling, you can also hang streamers, ribbons, or garlands for a fun party vibe. This star garland hangs vertically and will get your guests in the mood to say “cheese”.
Star Swirls
Here are some more fun hanging decorations. These metallic star swirls could be hung from the ceiling, doorway or even in tree branches. Combine these with the star garlands, streamers, ribbons or balloons for a quick and easy setting for your photo creations.

4th of July Party Accessories
Don’t forget the props for your photo booth! Funny and silly accessories like sunglasses, headbands, and pom poms are sure to get everyone in the mood to take some great photos. You get the best pictures when your guests are cutting loose and having fun!

Your family and friends will feel fancy and patriotic in this red, white and blue top hat. Add a little glam to your shindig.
4th of July Party Pack
This party pack includes hats, tiaras, patriotic leis, and horns. Kids and adults will get a kick out of hamming it up for the camera with these fun accessories.
Sunglasses
You’ll be too cool for school with these red, white, and blue sunglasses. Combined with a hat, tiara, boa or lei, your guests will be ready for their closeup.
Wig
I love this silly red, white, and blue wig! Everyone will be fighting over who gets to wear it next. Celebrate the 4th in silly style.
Photo Booth Pack
Can’t make up your mind about which photo props to have? This photo booth pack has a little bit of everything.
Meteor Shower Lights
These lights are the coolest things since sliced bread IMO. Each light in the tube turns on and off, giving the appearance of a meteor shower. This would make an awesome backdrop for some nighttime photos or a fun video you could send home with your guests.
Baby, You’re a Firework
A 4th of July photo booth will make your holiday bash stand out from the crowd. Even something simple like a sheet hung from the branch of a tree and some crazy red, white, and blue accessories can get your guests in the mood to have fun and celebrate!
