Need something fun to do on Thanksgiving besides eating too much good food? Here are 4 FREE printable Thanksgiving games that are fun for kids of all ages, even big kids!

When I was a kid we took a LOT of road trips. My mom was always sure to load up on Fun Pads (remember those??) and puzzle books to keep me entertained during long hours in the car. I LOVED puzzles of all kinds. Crosswords, word searches, anagrams, cryptograms – you name it and I was there for it. I guess it’s not a surprise that I grew up to become a BI developer who plays with data all day. 🙂

In honor of my lifelong love of puzzles, I designed 4 free printable Thanksgiving games that you can enjoy with your family. I know we’ll be having some fun on Thanksgiving with these! This is my first attempt at creating printable games and I really enjoyed it! Needless to say, I think you’ll be seeing more games.

The zip file includes 4 PDFs.

Thanksgiving Crossword

Test your Thanksgiving knowledge and answer the clues on the crossword puzzle. It would also be a fun classroom or group activity too! Some of the clues might be a little challenging for younger kids so I’d say the age range would be 8 to 10 years old. And you could always make it a group effort so kids of all ages can enjoy it.

Thanksgiving Word Search

Word searches are great learning tools. They make you exercise your brain and can help with spelling and pattern recognition. And they’re also a lot of fun! Younger kids might need a little help with this one too but kids over 8 should have no problem.

Thanksgiving Cryptogram

Get in touch with your inner spy and try to crack the code on this cryptogram. I’ve provided a few clues to help you get started. Here’s another hint – the phrase is actually a quote about Thanksgiving. I like the sentiment in the quote and thought it was applicable, especially this year when things are so very different than what we’re used to.
