Here’s a cute St Patrick’s Day SVG file that would look cute on a mug or glass. Grab this file for free until March 5th.

Happy Friday!

Can you believe that St Patrick’s Day is just around the corner? In honor of my Irish heritage and St Patrick’s Day, this week’s free file is a fun design for a glass or a mug.

I put this design on a pub glass I found at Dollar Tree a few weeks ago:

If you’re drinking Leprechaun Juice, you must be lucky, right? Here’s hoping you find the end of the rainbow.  ?

St Patrick’s Day SVG

This week’s SVG file will be free until March 5th. After that, it will still be available in the shop for purchase. Click below to download or add it to your cart if it’s after the 5th.

After you’ve downloaded the file, you’ll need to unzip it to your computer and then find and upload the SVG to Design Space since you can’t upload a zip file.

Here are a few tips on using this file:

Ungroup the design

Once you’ve uploaded the SVG to Design Space, Ungroup the design first by either hitting Ungroup at the top of the Layers panel on the right or right-clicking on the design choosing Ungroup. This will allow you to make some adjustments to the layers that will make it easier to put your design on the surface.

Attach Elements of the Same Color

If this were a big design, I wouldn’t recommend doing this. But since the surface of a glass is fairly small, you won’t waste a lot of material. I find it’s easier to place the design correctly this way.

Attach all layers that are the same color together. You could try to click on each element on the canvas to select them, but I usually end up forgetting one or clicking one I didn’t want. It’s easier to select the layers instead. Hold the Shift Key and click each layer in the Layers panel that’s the same color. Once you have them all selected, hit Attach at the bottom of the Layers panel. This will group everything you’ve selected together and the Cricut will cut it as it looks in the design.

Attach the gold color group first, then the green because the hat slightly overlaps the L in Leprechaun. Then attach the black band to the hat.

One thing to keep in mind is that the gold buckle goes on top of the black band of the hat. I would trim that part off once you’ve weeded so that you can add that separately after you have transferred the black band.
